How do I use variable symbols

Many of the symbols in PatternGenius have the option to be variable. Examples include nupps (3 stitch, 5 stitch, etc), cables (2x2, 3x4, 1x2x1, etc). To use variable symbols, just tap the symbol in the palette and a popup will appear so you can customize your symbol.
